CHAMPION, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Herbert James Bosworth, 76, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Windsor House of Champion.
Herb was born on May 21, 1947, in Keene, New Hampshire, a son of the late Edward and Marjorie (Norland) Bosworth.
He was a 1966 graduate of Grandville High School in Grandville, New York.
He was a diesel mechanic and tree surgeon, having worked on the Sequoya trees in California.
On February 14, 1999, he married his wife, the former Nancy Fleming.
Herb was of the Pentecostal faith.
Herb had a wonderful sense of humor and could strike up a conversation with anyone. In his free time, he enjoyed NASCAR racing and online racing with his brother. He loved fishing, hunting, walking on the beach and just about anything he could do outdoors. He could often be found working jigsaw puzzles, wordsearches and online word games. He loved to travel and adored his dog Hero. Herb attended and loved the adult daycare program at Antonine Village.
Herb leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Nancy; siblings, Judy Silva of Hawaii, Carolyn Bosworth of Montana, Chester (Gail) Bosworth of Michigan and stepsister, Beth (Bruce) Dunning of New Hampshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jason and Jonathan Lyons; brother, Norman Bosworth; sister, Ellen Bosworth and stepsister, Dale Noles.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, 909 Martin Luther King Blvd. SW, Warren, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
