CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) - The trip of a lifetime is underway for a local sports team.
The Flashes bowling team from Kent State Trumbull left Friday for nationals happening Saturday in Anderson, Indiana. They are one of 24 teams in the Collegiate Club Bowling Championship.
Girard's Brett Zeigler has the highest scoring average on the team.
"It means a lot," said Zeigler. "I know this is my final year and going into it, I just want to leave this team with a bright future and they're on track for that."
Kent State Trumbull's Bowling program was formed in 2020.
The championship will be decided on Sunday.
