WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Champion registered back-to-back 3-run innings, in the third and the fourth, to post a 6-2 victory over visiting Brookfield.
The Flashes featured a pair of pitching performances from Bradey Quinby – who went 5-innings, struck out 10 batters and allowed only 2 hits – and Zack Morris – who closed out the game by tossing two innings and permitting just one hit and striking out 3 Warriors.
Dylan Howell reached base three times – 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. Quinby drove in two runs while Morris scored twice.
On Thursday, Champion will visit Campbell.
For Brookfield, Hunter Warrender, Devin Reardon and Nick Zelinsky all had base hits in the loss.
The Warriors will travel to LaBrae to take on their division rival.
