CHAMPION TWP., Ohio (WKBN) -- A new ambulance was placed into service Friday and is ready to respond to emergencies.
In social media announcement, the Champion Township Fire Department said its new ambulance -- named "Squad 21" -- has been placed into service.
The new 2023 ambulance replaces a 2014 model, which had 110,000 miles on it, according to the department.
The ambulance cost of $175,000 was primarily covered by ARPA funds, supplemented by the trade-in value of the 2014 ambulance.
The department celebrated 95 years of service last September.
