Charles Walker Davis, Champion, Ohio

CHAMPION, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Charles Walker Davis, age 81, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic. 

He was born November 28, 1942 in War, West Virginia, the son of Charles W. and Laura (Palmer) Davis.

Charles served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.

He retired in 2000 from General Motors after more than 30 years of employment in Maintenance /WEMR. 

A devout Christian, he was an elder at Life Church in Leavittsburg, where he also served as Sunday School Superintendent and assisted with hospital visitations.

He enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting.

Precious memories of Charles live on with his beloved wife of over 63 years, Norma “Faye” (Anders) Davis, whom he married December 3, 1960; three children, Deborah Faye Davis of Champion, Charles Wayne Davis of Champion and Deanna Alise Meadows-Shrum (Nick) of Cortland; seven grandchildren, Danielle Barbe, Nicole and Matthew (Jessica) Johns, Charles Wayne Davis II, Hannah, Sophia and Benjamin Meadows; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Roger Davis of Kissimmee, Florida.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his granddaughter, Amanda Barbe and four brothers and sisters.

Calling hours are 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 2:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Charles are welcome to attend and celebrate his good life. Entombment will follow at Meadow Brook Memorial Park.
