CHAMPION, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Jack V. Gaston, 81, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his home.
Jack was born January 27, 1943, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Victor, Sr. and Mary (Tufa) Gaston.
He was a graduate of Howland High School.
Jack met and married the love of his life Janet Vivoda and were married in 1964 and passed away December 4, 1972.
He retired in 2001 from Delphi as Machine Repairman after 31 years.
Jack was a member of Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church in Warren.
He was also a member of Moose Lodge 1012 in Cortland, Ohio, and the Trout Unlimited.
He enjoyed working on fishing rods and making lures, he was avid fisherman he also enjoyed gardening and growing his garlic, he loved sports, NASCAR, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
Jack will be missed by his two children, John (Diane) Gaston of Lake Milton, Ohio and Lisa Mulvey of Wilmington, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Chloe, Jack, Alex and Samantha; one great-grandchild, Jaden and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Gaston; four brothers, Victor, Jr., Stanley, Philip and Basil Gaston and two sisters, Rosemary Williams and Vera Black.
Family friends may pay their respects to Jack on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren. A Trisagion Service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
