CHAMPION, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Regina L. Baker, 95, formerly a resident of Niles and Champion, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2024, in Jameson Nursing and Rehabilitation, New Castle.
Mrs. Baker was born May 08, 1929, in Girard, Ohio, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Marie (Calvacanti) Vadino.
A homemaker, Regina enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for family and friends during the holidays. She also loved spending time tending to her flower garden.
Regina was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Niles, Ohio.
Her husband of 50 years, Dudley J. Baker, whom she married April 30, 1955, preceded her in death on May 29, 2005.
Regina is survived by a daughter, Barbara Brown (Douglas), of New Castle; a son, Stephen Baker (Lori), Austintown, Ohio; a brother, Anthony Vadino, Jr., Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Christie Rubenstein (Patrick) and Brandon Barker; and two great-grandchildren, Rhett and Nora.
In addition to her parents and husband, Regina was preceded in death by eight sisters and three brothers.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours and the funeral service will be held privately.
Arrangements are being handled by the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
