CHAMPION, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Ralph (Butch) W. Glosser, Jr. (67) passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at St. Joe's Hospital in Warren, Ohio.

Ralph was born March 20, 1957, to Ralph W. Glosser, Sr. and Kay Glosser.

He was a graduate from Champion High School.

Ralph made his mark working at Champion Fire Department, where he was a charter member of IAFF L2948 and he helped start the Paramedic program. In 1990, he left the Fire Department to work at Vanex Tube Corp. (Niles), where he worked for 26 years with his father.

He ran a tough battle with Kidney Disease for years and also fought with Cancer (MDS) as well as many other medical obstacles. He was a fighter all the way to the end. On top of that, he was witty with a great sense of humor. He had the ability to captivate a room when telling a story and never met someone who wasn't a friend. He was an avid golfer and avid shooter. Above everything else, the two things he loved most were Jesus and his family. He was very proud of his family and was blessed to be called "Papa" by his grandkids Noah and Zoey.

He was a proud child of God and member of Calvary Bible Church, Cortland. He loved the Lord and loved reading his Bible. He thoroughly enjoyed Bible prophecy and talking to everyone about Jesus, especially of the importance of knowing Jesus and having a personal relationship with Him.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Glosser; his three children: Holly (Jim) Donahue, Ben (Taren) Glosser and Jacob (Christi) Glosser; his grandchildren: Noah and Zoey Glosser; his sisters: Jill (Greg) Steinbeck and Amy (Greg) Moser; his mother Kay Glosser; his brother-in-law: Dave Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father: Ralph W. Glosser, Sr.; daughter: Robin Nicole Glosser; In-laws: Art and Joyce Williams; and his sister-in-law: Tammie Williams.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His family would like to thank the St. Joe's ICU staff for treating him like he was family. They treated him up until the end and we cannot thank them enough for helping him be comfortable at the end.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Calvary Bible Church, 4747 Warren Rd., NE Cortland, OH 44410.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Ralph loved the Lord, he loved his church, and he would be honored if you made a donation to Calvary Bible Church to further the mission of winning more souls to Jesus.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

A television tribute will air Wednesday, July 10 at the following approximate times: 7:10 a.m. on FOX, 12:22 p.m. on WKBN, 5:08 p.m. on MyYTV and 7:27 p.m. on WYTV. Video will be posted here the day of airing.
