BRECKSVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) - Champion softball standout Gabby Gradishar tied an Ohio state record for home runs in a season in the Golden Flashes 4-3 win over Broadview Heights on Monday night.
Gradishar has now hit 23 home runs this season for Champion.
She ties Williamsburg's Carly Wagers who tallied 23 homers in 2017.
Gradishar finished the day 1-3 with a solo homer. She also tossed a complete game, allowing 2 earned runs with 16 strikeouts in the win.
Zoe Palette also drove in a run for the Golden Flashes in the win.
Champion improves to 21-4 overall on the season. The Golden Flashes will face Creston Norwayne in the Division III Regional Semifinals on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Roehm Athletic Complex in Berea, Ohio.
